Project Manager, Drug Development

The person selected for this role will be responsible for supporting the coordination, oversight and management of drug product development projects. This will including monitoring project status, timelines and budgets.

You must have previously worked with other functional groups within the cross-functional areas– Nonclinical, CMC, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, etc. – and be able to anticipate changes within the project and how these changes will affect the other functions Ideally, the candidate selected has been a member of a cross-functional drug development team either in a project manager role or as a representative of a functional group and have gained knowledge of the drug development process. 

Job Responsibilities include:
  • Developing, managing and maintaining the project scope and schedule for each project that is assigned
  • Working and partnering with team members and functions across the organization to obtain and update planned activities
  • Communicating current project status and timelines to ensure the various teams understand deliverables
  • Managing change control for accurate timelines and forecasts
  • Applying project management best practices
Years of Experience
You will need a college degree in a scientific discipline and 2 - 15 years of project management experience on drug development teams. PMP certified candidates are preferred.
  • Experience in the ability to design, analyze and review project plans, identify risks, and  communicate the status to cross-functional  team members and management
  • Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Ability to manage expectations, prioritize workload, and navigate uncertainty with ease
