In this leadership role you will be responsible for nonclinical safety programs for the comprehensive safety assessment of therapies at all stages of discovery and development.  In this role you will bring your expertise to support the drug development process of novel compounds. Using cutting edge science and technologies you will perform robust assessments of novel therapies for the treatment of the most serious diseases bringing better treatment to patients. 
The successful candidate will provide expertise in the early drug discovery phase through the entire drug development process to market approval interacting throughout the organization. She/he will be responsible for the design and analysis of nonclinical safety assessment programs to support progression of novel therapeutic agents.  A strong background in regulatory toxicology is required with some discovery toxicology experience is ideal. Experience in inhalation toxicology or reproductive toxicology is a plus.
  • Ph.D. in Toxicology or relevant field; DABT Board certification preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry with a proven track record of conduct of drug safety assessment studies.
  • In depth understanding and working knowledge of regulatory toxicology and US and global regulatory guidelines
  • Responsible for lead internal and external regulatory documents (IBs, CTXs, INDs, NDAs, Expert Reports, etc.)
  • Creative, problem solver to resolve toxicological issues arising in drug development programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly organized with ability to work productively in a matrix organization
  • Outstanding oral and written communication capabilities
